Giving back to the communities I serve.

Voluteering is a lifestyle for me, akin to worship, and a joyful way to give back. My ten years at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford were spent in the Family Resource Center, delivering books and iPads to patients and reading at their bedsides. It began as a school project during my Early Childhood Education units at De Anza College in Cupertino. Each year, the Family Guidance and Bereavement Program hosts the Day of Remembrance on the Stanford campus, and I volunteer there as well. At the Summer Scamper, I both ran and helped register participants.

Over the years, my volunteer work has included the AT&T Giant Race in San Francisco, the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, the Morgan Hill Marathon and the APEC summit in San Francisco. At the 2009 National Senior Games at Stanford and the July 2016 U.S. Women's Open at Rosewood CordeValle in San Martin, I served as a VIP volunteer. With Ronald McDonald House, I have served as a bereavement volunteer. Volunteer production work for Generations Foursquare and Vive completes the list.

Civic duty has taken me to Voting Centers in San Francisco, Daly City and Millbrae for three elections, and I am training again to serve in the November 2026 election. Every eight weeks, I donate blood at the Stanford Blood Center in Menlo Park. ChildFund International also has my support as a donor.
